Face Swap Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 24, 2026

Last Updated: August 24, 2026

Thank you for choosing Face Swap: AI Photo & Video (the "App"). This Policy explains how the App handles information, why it is needed, and what choices you have. Using the App means you accept the practices described here.

For anything privacy-related, write to support@c96a.com, or use Profile → Contact Us inside the App.

1. What We Collect and Why

The App is a face-swap tool for photos and videos. We keep the information we handle limited to what is needed for the App to work.

1.1 The Photos and Videos You Choose

Your photo library is opened only at the moment you actively pick a file for a face swap. Nothing is scanned in the background and nothing is read without your action.

Face-swap processing is performed locally on your device. The photos, videos, and face images you select are used only for that request. Original media is not sent to us for face-swap rendering, is never sold or shared for advertising, and is never used for model training or model improvement. Finished results are kept on your device only when you choose to save them.

What gets written when you save or share a result depends on your membership. Free image exports carry a Face Swap brand watermark; VIP image exports are saved exactly as returned, without one. This describes how the App behaves today, and any change will come with an updated disclosure.

1.2 Your Anonymous Account Identifier

No email address, password, phone number, or social login is required. The App may create an anonymous account identifier to support account-related features such as points, membership, works, and basic service operation.

We do not use this identifier to work out who you are as a real-world person, and we do not link it to your real identity.

1.3 Device and Diagnostic Information

To keep the App stable and support Android advertising, we may receive limited technical, diagnostic, security, and performance information, such as:

Crash and error data is processed through Sentry. Before anything leaves your device it is stripped of authentication tokens, URL query strings, email addresses, and local file paths. Request bodies, response payloads, and your selected media are never included in a crash report.

1.4 Usage and Service Data

Some app actions create basic service records, such as account status, points, membership, template interactions, support requests, and purchase-related records. We use these records to provide the App, prevent abuse, and support users.

This is service record-keeping, not behavioural tracking: the App contains no first-party analytics SDK, and we do not build advertising or interest profiles from it.

1.5 Permissions the App Requests

Permissions are requested only where needed for a feature, and can be managed later in your system settings. Declining a permission disables the feature that depends on it, not the whole App.

Permission What it is used for
Photo library access Lets you pick a source photo or video for a face swap. Only the files you tap are read.
Save to photo library Writes a finished face-swap result back to your gallery when you tap Download.
Full network access Connects to our service, loads App content, supports account and purchase features, and — on Android — fetches ads.
View network connections Detects connection status so network-related features and errors can be handled sensibly.
In-app billing Enables membership subscriptions and point packs through Google Play or the App Store.
Advertising identifier (Android) Used by the App for advertising and related service operations.

1.6 Legal Bases for Processing (EEA and UK users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, we rely on the following grounds:

2. Your Anonymous Account

An account is created automatically the first time you open the App and is tied to the device-based identifier described in Section 1.2. There is no sign-up form and no personal detail to hand over. Because the account lives on your device rather than behind a login, you are responsible for the security of the device itself and for activity carried out through it.

2.1 Automatic Deactivation of Dormant Free Accounts

If a free account that has never made a purchase goes 180 consecutive days without being used, our systems may deactivate it automatically and erase the data held against it.

This clean-up is deliberately limited in scope. It does not apply to:

Paid accounts are removed only when you ask us to delete them, or where we terminate access for a breach of the Terms of Use.

2.2 Account Deletion at Your Request

You do not have to wait for the dormancy period. Close the account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. If the App is already uninstalled, use the public request page at https://c96a.com/delete-account.html or email support@c96a.com. We may ask you to quote the User ID displayed in the App so that we act on the correct account.

Deletion removes account-related data from our production systems, subject to records we must keep for legal, accounting, anti-fraud, or dispute-handling reasons. Unused points and any remaining membership period are forfeited on deletion and are not refundable. Your selected media is processed locally and is not included in our backups.

3. How Long We Keep Things

Selected media is processed locally on your device and is not retained by us for face-swap rendering. Finished results remain on your device only when you choose to save them.

What How long we keep it
Everything you choose — source photos, source videos, and face images Processed locally on your device. We do not keep a remote copy for face-swap rendering.
Finished face-swap results Kept on your device only when you choose to save them.
Basic service records Kept as needed to provide account, support, safety, and purchase-related features.
Account, points, and membership records Kept while needed to provide the App, then removed or limited as described in this Policy.
Transaction records for subscriptions and point purchases Kept for the period accounting, tax, and anti-fraud rules require, which may outlast your account.
Crash and diagnostic logs Expire on our providers' standard schedules; used only for debugging, security, and reliability.
Support emails and feedback Kept as long as needed to resolve your request and record the outcome.

Please save your results to your own device. Source media is processed locally and cleared from processing memory once processing is complete. Finished results are kept on your device only when you choose to save them.

Under no circumstances is your selected media or generated output used to train or refine any AI model, and it is never handed to a third party for their own purposes. Local deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed by us or by you.

4. Storage and Security

Face-swap media is processed locally on your device. We do not store your original photos, videos, face images, or finished face-swap results for rendering.

Protective measures include:

We want to be explicit about one point: we do not generate or store biometric templates, faceprints, or any other measurement capable of identifying you as a specific real person. Face detection runs only to locate a face region within the frame you supplied, for that single swap.

No system is perfectly secure, but we apply security measures proportionate to the sensitivity of the data involved.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may be entitled to:

Email support@c96a.com to exercise any of these. We aim to reply within 30 days, or sooner where local law requires it. Exercising a right never degrades the service you receive.

6. Advertising Choices

Rewarded ads exist on Android only, and only on paths where you deliberately choose to watch an ad in exchange for an unlock.

7. Age Requirements

This App is not designed for, and must not be used by, the following users:

Age restrictions are enforced in accordance with applicable local laws, Google Play listing requirements, and App Store listing requirements. We cannot identify adults and minors because we do not collect that type of data, and we do not serve personalized advertising to users identified as minors. Parents and guardians who believe a child has used the App without permission should email support@c96a.com; we will delete the associated account and data on verification.

8. Synthetic Media and Your Responsibility

Face swapping produces synthetic imagery. Results may be imperfect, unrealistic, or unintentionally misleading, and they depict scenes that never occurred. You are solely responsible for whatever you create, save, publish, or distribute using the App.

Only swap faces you have the right to use — your own, or someone's who has genuinely agreed. Using another person's likeness without their permission may be unlawful where you live.

The following are strictly prohibited:

We do not routinely monitor what users generate, but we reserve the right to review, remove, and report content, and to suspend accounts, where law requires it or where we have reasonable grounds to suspect serious abuse. Misuse is your legal liability, not ours.

9. Third-Party Services

The App relies on a small number of third-party services. Each receives only what its function requires and is governed by its own privacy terms.

Service Purpose Data involved Privacy policy
Sentry Crash reporting and performance monitoring Limited diagnostic information sentry.io
Google AdMob and UMP (User Messaging Platform) Rewarded advertising and consent management (Android only) Limited advertising and device information policies.google.com
Google Play Billing Subscriptions and point purchases on Android Purchase-related information policies.google.com
Apple App Store / StoreKit Subscriptions and point purchases on iOS Purchase-related information apple.com
Device and package info components Reading device model and app version Device model, OS version, app version Not applicable — reads locally, sends nothing
Image picker and photo manager components Gallery selection and saving results Only the files you actively select or save Not applicable — on-device access only
Video playback and sharing components Playing previews and invoking the system share sheet No data collected Not applicable — on-device function only

Card numbers and banking details are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see them. We receive only what is needed to confirm a purchase and grant the corresponding entitlement.

10. Notice for California Residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, grants California residents additional rights:

On Android we do share device and advertising identifiers with Google AdMob for advertising, which under the CCPA may be treated as "sharing".

Send CCPA requests to support@c96a.com.

11. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised as the App evolves or as legal requirements shift. Material changes will be announced through the App, on our website, or by another suitable channel, and the revised text will carry a new effective date. Continuing to use the App after that date means the updated Policy applies to you going forward.

12. Contact Us

Questions, complaints, privacy requests, or reports of unlawful content generated by another user should go to:

Please contact us first if you are unhappy about something, so that we have a chance to put it right. Nothing here restricts your right to complain to a regulator or to pursue a remedy under the law that applies to you.

13. International Data Transfers

Some information may be processed outside the country or region where you live. Where applicable, we use reasonable safeguards for those transfers.

14. Dispute Resolution

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please raise it with us first at support@c96a.com so that we have a chance to put it right. We will acknowledge your concern and work with you towards a resolution.

Nothing in this Policy restricts your right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority or other competent regulator, or to pursue any remedy available to you under the law that applies to you. You are not required to contact us before doing so.

15. Governing Law

This Policy is interpreted in line with the data protection and consumer protection law that applies to you in your place of residence, to the extent that law requires. Mandatory consumer rights and data protection rights available to you locally are not limited or excluded by anything written here.

16. Relationship to the Terms of Use

This Privacy Policy forms part of the Face Swap Terms of Use. Where the two documents disagree about the handling of personal information, this Privacy Policy prevails on that point.

17. Third-Party Privacy Policies

The policies governing the services named in Section 9 are available here:

Final Acknowledgment

By using the App you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy, and that your information will be handled as set out above.
